Vegan Spinach Dip

Best Vegan Spinach Dip

Outdoor party season is here, which sadly for most vegans this means having a very limited options in what you can snack on, often just raw vegetables from the veggie tray, and even then the dipping sauce is rarely vegan. Spinach Dip

Spinach dip instructions

You can use fresh or frozen spinach, and if you only have firm tofu on hand then simply add a little bit of water when blending the tofu/cashew mixture. I use chili powder to add a little spice, if you don’t want any spice then substitute paprika instead, or omit this step entirely.

For the homemade pita chips I simply took pita bread and cut it into triangle pieces, by first folding the pita in half, then into 4 triangle pieces, then halved those to result in 8 triangle pieces total per pita bread. I drizzled olive oil over top, and sprinkled salt, pepper and chili powder evenly on each piece. You may use whatever spices you want. Put it in the oven at 450 for roughly ten minutes or until crispy.

This Spinach dip is still very high in calories and fat, however because it is fully vegan it doesn’t leave you feeling heavy and lethargic, plus it’s all essential healthy fats and very high in protein. Instead you can enjoy a healthy version of an amazing dip, whether you share it with friends or eat the whole thing by yourself this dip makes an amazing snack/meal.
